THE 50 MOST ESSENTIAL MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS. Today: #6. More: tomorrow.
Caffè Lattè presents:
THE MOST ESSENTIAL
MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS
For decades, songs and movies have been matched. The most successful are effective tools, cross-promoting both the music and the film in which they are featured; giving one or both longevity. Here are 50 Motion Picture Soundtrack Albums that evoke memories of the films they appeared in. The criteria was to include only movie soundtracks which consisted largely of new material, rather than a compilation of older songs or remakes.

T HE LION KING
1994
Disney had earned a place in history for its animated films. ‘The Lion King’ saw the film company experience a renaissance with new features to add to its motion picture classics. Tim Rice wrote the lyrics and Elton John composed the music with additional scoring by Hans Zimmer. Among the standout tracks are the songs “Circle Of Life”, “Hakuna Matata” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”. The soundtrack was an instant success with children and continues to hold a special place in their adult memories. It spawned a stage musical and a series of related films in its wake.
