Trivia:

"Start Me Up" was first recorded by the Rolling Stones as a regggae song. This was back in 1977 while cutting the 'Some Girls' album. Unhappy with the demos, the track was abandoned. While The Stones were recording 'Tattoo You', they realized they needed another song. A new rockier approach was tried on the song idea. This time, everything fell into place and a new signature track was added to the band's rich catalogue.
