TOP SOUNDTRACKS: Honourable Mentions.
Caffè Lattè presents:
MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS
HONOURABLE MENTIONS
These soundtracks did not fit the criteria, but are definitely worth highlighting as exceptional tie-ins to films.
LA BAMBA
1987
‘La Bamba’ is a biopic revolving around one of rock and roll’s pioneers Ritchie Valens. Los Lobos dominate the soundtrack with remakes of classics such as “Donna”, “Come On, Let’s Go” and the title track. The LP also includes contributions by Brian Setzer and Marshall Crenshaw as well as Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love”. These songs create a fun vibe that takes you back to the 1950s and accentuate the tragedy that claimed the lives of rockers Valens, Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper.
