THE 50 MOST ESSENTIAL MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS. Today: #8. More: tomorrow.

Caffè Lattè presents:

THE MOST ESSENTIAL

MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS

For decades, songs and movies have been matched. The most successful are effective tools, cross-promoting both the music and the film in which they are featured; giving one or both longevity. Here are 50 Motion Picture Soundtrack Albums that evoke memories of the films they appeared in. The criteria was to include only movie soundtracks which consisted largely of new material, rather than a compilation of older songs or remakes.

Whitney Houston’s screen debut was a box office hit co-starring Kevin Costner. As well as including her signature song and international smash single “I Will Always Love You”, the superstar vocalist belts out other standouts such as: “I’m Every Woman”, “I Have Nothing”, “Queen Of The Night” and “Run To You”. Additional tracks are provided by a variety of artists ranging from Kenny G, Aaron Neville, Curtis Stigers, Lisa Stansfield and others. The multi-million selling soundtrack album picked up the Grammy for Album of the Year. It topped the charts in America, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
