After decades in the music industry, as a member of The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic and Blind Faith, Steve Winwood finally scored his first bonafide solo success with 'Back In The High Life'. The album contained the first US #1 of his career, "Higher Love". Every track is drenched in history and experience, but Winwood manages to make the overall sound very 1980s. This album captured a music veteran at his peak. Highlight tracks: Higher Love; Back In The High Life Again & The Finer Things.
