As countries begin selecting their entries for the Eurovision Song Contest in May, this blog will look back on the stats and the best from each of the 43 participating nations.

2017 will mark Poland's 20th attempt to secure a win at Eurovision. The nation has been participating - off and on- since 1994. That year's Polish entry made an impressive debut: finishing in 2nd place. No other song from Poland has matched or improved on that result. 

In 2016, "Color Of Your Life" (ranked at #8) gave Poland its best finish since 2003. This was only the 3rd time a Polish entry has finished in the Top 10 at Eurovision.

Poland will be competing again in 2017. This year's song and its performer will be announced on February 11.
