This hit was written by CeeLo Green and Sir
Mix-a-Lot. It was initially intended for another singer, but The Pussycat Dolls
ended up recording it and added Busta Rhymes on the track. The single shot to
the top in Britain, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Stateside, the
disc peaked at #2.

THE BANGLES
The first #1 for The Bangles was this infectious
hit record. Lifted off the girl group’s
1986 album ‘Different Light’, it topped the charts in America, Canada and
Australia. In Britain, the single peaked at #3.

The third single lifted off the 2001 album release
‘Survivor’ features a sample from the Stevie Nicks solo hit “Edge Of Seventeen”.
In the U.S.A., the disc became the group’s fourth #1. British record buyers
purchased enough copies to take it to a #2 peak. It also reached the Top 5 in
Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Reflections
DIANA ROSS & THE SUPREMES
When this single was issued in 1967, it was the
first to be credited to Diana Ross and The Supremes. Created by the
multi-talented team of Holland/ Dozier/ Holland, the recording lifted the bar
in terms of production techniques at Motown. This was one of the last hits to
feature founding member Florence Ballard. The single peaked at #2 and #4 on the
US Pop and Soul charts. In Britain, the disc climbed to #5.
