Funk / disco group Chic’s members Bernard Edwards
and Nile Rodgers crafted songs for an album project with the Sledge siblings.
They created this enduring song which became the title track from the 1979 LP ‘We
Are Family’. It shot to #1 on Billboard’s Disco Chart and #2 on the Pop Hot
100. The single topped the Canadian chart and was a Top 10 hit in Britain.
