“ABC” was written and produced by the team referred to as “The Corporation”. It consisted of Motown head Berry Gordy Jr., Freddie Perren, Fonce Mizell and Deke Richards. When the disc moved into the US #1 position, it replaced The Beatles’ “Let It Be”. The brothers also enjoyed four weeks atop the Soul Chart in 1970. In Britain, the single peaked at #8. Its success proved that "I Want You Back" was no fluke. The Jackson 5 were to accumulate 4 chart-topping singles in that year!
