Dreamgirls

“Dreamgirls” opened on Broadway in 1981. The following year, it was showered with 6 Tony Awards, including Best Actress for Jennifer Holliday who wowed audiences with her rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”. In the 2006 movie version, Jennifer Hudson took on the role of Effie and was rewarded with the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.
