“I Don’t Know How To Love Him” is performed by Mary Magdalene. Yvonne Elliman took on that role for the original 1970 concept album, the first Broadway production in 1971 and in the film adaptation 2 years later. In Australia, Marcia Hines was cast in the role, becoming the first African-American woman to portray Mary.
