DIO COME TI AMO
Domenico Modugno
ITALY 1966
Poor Domenico Modugno, after being
denied victory with the timeless “Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu (Volare)” in 1958, he returned
to Eurovision the following year and fared even worse. While “Volare” finished
in 3rd place, “Piove (Ciao, Ciao Bambina)” achieved 6th
position. Modugno competed a third and final time in 1966. That year, only
Italy and Monaco failed to attract any points and therefore shared last place.
