Dima Bilan
RUSSIA 2008
Dima Bilan first represented Russia at Eurovision in 2006 with the song “Never Let You Go”. That entry finished in second place. Two years later, Bilan returned with “Believe”. This time, he won the Contest, albeit with an inferior song. The presentation on the Eurovision stage was also curious: Bilan was accompanied by a violinist playing while kneeling down and Olympic figure skater Evgeni Plushenko. "Believe" fails to measure up against recent Russian offerings such as "Party For Everybody", "You Are The Only One" and 2020's "Uno".
