The protagonist is with his partner. He loves her very much but doubt persists. He is concerned that they are only together because she was rejected by her former partner. Convinced he has her on the rebound, he is constantly worried that should they ever bump into her ex, and if he asked her back, she would return to him. One day, that actually happens: they are together and see her former partner. As he prepares himself for the inevitable break-up, the ex approaches the couple. To the surprise of the protagonist, the woman sticks with him.
