Jacques Brel’s classic with English lyrics written by Rod McKuen was covered by Streisand on 2009’s ‘Love Is The Answer’. The album reached #1 on both sides of the Atlantic.

ANY MOMENT NOW
The musical “Smile” was created by Marvin Hamlisch with lyricist Carolyn Leigh. Streisand’s remake is a duet recorded with lauded actor of stage and screen Hugh Jackman. Throughout the track, spoken dialogue by the 2 performers reveals a relationship that has deteriorated. The collaboration was included on her 2016 album entitled ‘Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway’.

SO MANY STARS
This song was composed by Sergio Mendes. English lyrics were penned by frequent Streisand collaborators Alan & Marilyn Bergman. At one point in the song, Streisand sings in Portuguese. The track was featured on the 2011 album ‘What Matters Most: Barbra Streisand Sings The Lyrics Of Alan And Marilyn Bergman’.

Streisand’s 1971 album ‘Barbra Joan Streisand’ contains 2 covers of songs written by John Lennon: “Mother” and “Love”. This was her second LP produced by Richard Perry which presented a more contemporary perspective.

MAKE NO MISTAKE, HE’S MINE
The 1984 album ‘Emotion’ contained this duet with Kim Carnes. It was lifted as a single. Carnes wrote the song. She co-produced the track with Bill Cuomo.

I’VE DREAMED OF YOU
When Streisand married James Brolin, “I’ve Dreamed Of You” was used. The wedding song began as an instrumental entitled “Heartland” and recorded by Secret Garden (winners for Norway at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest with “Nocturne”). Lyrics by Ann Hampton- Callaway were added. After her nuptuals, Streisand commenced work on her next album: ‘A Love Like Ours’. This track was included. Streisand produced the recording.

ADELAIDE’S LAMENT
This was a bonus track on the CD version of ‘The Broadway Album’. The song was from the musical “Guys And Dolls”. Streisand applies her acting prowess in the delivery of this track, which she co-produced with Peter Matz.

ON MY WAY TO YOU
“On My Way To You” was written by Alan & Marilyn Bergman and Michel Legrand. It was included on Streisand’s 1988 album ‘Till I Loved You’. The vocalist produced the track.

THE SINGER
In 1970, Streisand began recording an album that was later shelved. “The Singer” was one of its tracks that remained in the vaults until its appearance on the ‘Just For The Record...’ box set.

QUEEN BEE
The Oreos add backup vocals on this song performed by Streisand for the ‘A Star Is Born’ motion picture soundtrack. Rupert Holmes, who enjoyed a US #1 hit in his own right with “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)” in 1979, wrote the song.
