Trivia:

"U Can't Touch This" is built around a sample of the Rick James hit "Super Freak". The R&B artist had a policy of refusing any use of his music. MC Hammer was granted permission unbeknown to James. He discovered his song was used when he heard the rap hit on the radio. James did change his mind when he discovered how much he would be earning in royalties. The single proved to be a worldwide smash, topping the US R&B Chart and going to #1 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
