#1038 NO MILK TODAY Herman's Hermits
Graham Gouldman wrote some of the best British hit singles in the 1960s, before finding success as a member of the group 10cc in the decade that followed. Herman's Hermits recorded his "No Milk Today", a simplistic song that once peeled back, is brimming with imagery and melancholy. Peter Noone sings the poignant lyrics dealing with the demise of a relationship with the protagonist left alone. The single was released in 1966 and was the group's first to feature an orchestra. It was issued as the B-side to the band's #4 UK hit, "There's a Kind of Hush".
