"Cool for Cats" was the breakthrough hit for UK band Squeeze in 1979, the title track from their debut LP. Its follow-up was "Up the Junction", also featured on that album. Written by group members Chris Difford and Glen Tilbrook, it recounts the story of a relationship, from its start to its sad denouement. Tilbrook's vocals add to the realism of the tale.
