#422 LIVE FOR THE ONE I LOVE [Soda Club Radio Mix] Tina Arena
Born in 1968 in Melbourne, Tina Arena possesses 1 of the finest voices Australia has ever produced. As a child, she was a regular performer on the TV show "Young Talent Time". She grew up on Aussie screens. Arena announced her adulthood with the #3 local hit "I Need Your Body" in 1989 . Having shaken off her adolescent image, Arena set out to prove her vocal prowess. The single "Chains" established her credentials. She scored a #2 hit in 1997 with "Burn". A series of diverse releases proved Arena's versatility. She also recorded in Italian and French, reaching the Top 5 in France with "Aller Plus Haut" and "Les Trois Cloches" in 1999-2000.
"Live for the One I Love" was issued in 2000. The single was written by Richard Cocciante, Luc Plamondon and Will Jennings. The song was from the musical "Notre Dame de Paris". Arena had starred as Esmeralda in the UK production around this time. The track was produced by Ric Wake.
This
is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I
cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks.
Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have
universal appeal.
They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal
choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a
better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2
new songs are added each day (every 12 hours) with a mid-week bonus
every Wednesday.
