CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#431 CHANGING WITH THE YEARS Kate Ceberano
Kate Ceberano's 'Brave' was an impressive pop album from the effervescent young performer. It was an adventurous collection of covers of songs by fellow Aussies The Reels, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and The Commodores as well as originals.
"Changing with the Years" - a highlight track from the 1989 LP- was a beautiful ballad written by Simon Climie and Don Black. The former was a member of the duos Naked Eyes and Climie Fisher. The latter has written lyrics for Andrew Lloyd Webber and numerous film projects, including some James Bond title songs. Ceberano's recording features respected jazz musician Courtney Pine on saxophone. Climie sang background vocals, as did Suzie Demarchi (lead singer of Australian rock group Baby Animals). Climie's partner in Naked Eyes, Rob Fisher, performed keyboards and handled programming. The track itself was produced by Ian Curnow and Phil Harding.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs are added each day (every 12 hours)  with a mid-week bonus every Wednesday.
