ABBATHE 40 MOST IMPORTANT SONGS
21 TAKE A CHANCE ON ME
Writers: Benny Andersson / Bjorn Ulvaeus
"Take A Chance On Me" is ABBA doing what it did best: great, upbeat catchy songs with an unforgettable hook. The inspiration came to Bjorn while he was jogging and he noticed a regular rhythm. The group began recording this in mid-August 1977, issuing it as the very successful 2nd single from 'ABBA - The Album'. It even peaked at #3 in the USA., where the group did not enjoy the popularity that greeted them elsewhere.
