CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}
#1659 SCARBOROUGH FAIR / CANTICLE Simon & Garfunkel
Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel's treatment of an old English folk song became a beautiful new track, rich with vocal overdubs. It was featured on the duo's 1966 album 'Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme'.
#1660 OUR LAST SUMMER Abba
Frida Lyngstad sings lead vocals on "Our Last Summer", included on its 1980 album 'Super Trouper'. ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson created the nostalgic song, inspired by a Parisian romance the former enjoyed in his youth; hence the references to the City of Lights.
The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I
cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks.
Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have
universal appeal.
They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal
choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the Top 200 each day, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added daily.
