CHRISTOPHER CROSS
[1979]
Christopher Cross' breakthrough saw him peak too early. Showered with hit singles and a swag of Grammy Awards in 1980, repeating the quality of his debut album proved too difficult. Michael McDonald of The Doobie Brothers adds his lush background vocals to many tracks on this unassuming album. Other guest singers include Don Henley, J.D. Souther and Nicolette Larson. Michael Omartian produced this impressive soft rock album. The #1 hit single & Grammy Song of the Year "Sailing" is still splendid today. Highlight
tracks: Sailing; Never Be The Same; Ride Like The Wind.
