THE HISTORY & STATISTICS

Two of last year’s competing countries have decided not to participate this year on the Eurovision stage: Bulgaria and Ukraine. The latter had "Siren Song" by Maruv ready for Semi-Final 1 but withdrew due to political reasons.  This leaves 41 countries in the 2019 Contest. Eurovision is being held in Tel Aviv, following Istael's win last year. The host nation and "The Big 5" countries (France, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain & Germany) have pre-qualified for the Grand Final. They will be joined by 10 songs from each of the 2 Semi-Finals.
