The so-called “Big 5 Countries”
automatically pre-qualify for the Grand Final at Eurovision. These nations are:
Italy, France, Spain, United Kingdom and Germany. All of the other nations must
compete in the Semi-Finals held before the big night. 
This year, Italy is a strong favourite
to win with “Soldi”. The others are less likely, with the exception of France.
Its entry “Roi” could gain more momentum as the Grand Final approaches. France has
already won Eurovision 5 times. Another victory would place it in equal 2nd
place with Sweden.
