Ireland has won Eurovision 7 times. That remains the record. In second place is Sweden, with 6 wins. Three countries share third place among Eurovision’s most successful participants: France, United Kingdom and Luxembourg. The latter has not competed since 1993.

Ireland’s most recent triumph was in 1996. France last won in 1977. The UK has not won Eurovision since 1997. Sweden continues to be a real threat to the Irish record. The country has won twice in recent years: 2012 and 2015.
