Trivia:

When Billy Preston produced and co-wrote the instrumental "Outa-Space", his new label A&M Records failed to see its potential. The track was issued as the B-side for "I Wrote A Simple Song" instead. A DJ turned the single over and played the flip side on the radio. Preston was vindicated. The A-side stopped climbing at #77 in the US. "Outa-Space", on the other hand, topped the Soul Chart and peaked at #2 on Billboard's Pop listing.
