Van Halen's fusion of rock with synth-pop spawned some major hits for the band. "Dreams" was the follow-up to the smash "Why Can't This Be Love" from the album '5150'. This was the first LP recorded by the group with Sammy Hagar on lead vocals, replacing David Lee Roth.
