"Torn Between Two Lovers" was originally recorded from a man's perspective by its co-writer Peter Yarrow. He was a member of the folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary. Yarrow co-produced the remake cut by Mary MacGregor. She recorded her cover at the famed Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama.
