Dionne Warwick recorded “Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” for use in the film ‘Thunderball’. The song was written by Leslie Bricusse and John Barry. It was later decided that the theme song must contain the title of the film in its lyrics.

Warwick’s song was not used, replaced by a new song. “Thunderball” became the theme song, performed by British pop sensation Tom Jones.
