After the success generated by the first Bond film ‘Dr. No’ in 1962, little time was wasted to capitalize on its popularity. The following year, a sequel premiered. Sean Connery reprised the leading role as agent 007.
Lionel Bart composed the title song “From Russia With Love”. The theme was performed by English balladeer Matt Monro. Although a huge star in his homeland, he failed to be a significant chart force in America. The single reached #20 in the UK.
