Billy Joel penned the title track from his 1977 hit album 'The Stranger'. Phil Ramone produced the recording in New York City. It features Ralph MacDonald on percussion. The song was the 5th track lifted as a single from the LP, reaching #2 in Japan and charting in Australia in 1978.
