SYNCHRONICITY: THE POLICE
[1983]
The Police had been delivering
exciting tracks on albums since 1978. With 'Synchronicity', the band
delivered its best. The musicianship on this new release was precise.
The trio established itself as the leading group of the time. As far as
swansongs go, few bands go out on such a high. There are filler tracks
and it is obvious that Sting is best equipped to be left alone to create
material that is first class. This album contains some of his best.
Among the tracks is the timeless hit single "Every Breath You Take": a
brilliant and unequalled composition. Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland
apply their notable skills on their respective instruments to make the
song a pop classic. There are more gems on this album. With music this
good, it was inevitable that Sting would branch out on his own. Highlight tracks: Every Breath You Take; Wrapped Around Your Finger & Synchronicity I.
