Daniel
[1983-
Yugoslavia]
Over
its 6+ decades, Eurovision has reflected changes in the European continent. New
nations have been brought into the family as some countries have vanished into
history. In 1983, a catchy pop song performed in Serbo-Croatian finished in 4th
place (out of 20 countries). It was similar in style to Shakin’ Stevens’ 80s
hits. Yugoslavia no longer exists but this entry is worth remembering. It was
performed by Daniel Popovic who co-wrote it.
