DSCHINGHIS
KHAN
Dschinghis Khan
[1979-
Germany]
German
group Dschinghis Khan performed one of the most energetic entries ever at Eurovision.
It was a disco-flavoured song about its namesake, the Mongol emperor Genghis Khan. They finished
4th out of 19 competing nations. It was a memorable song. The following year, the
group recorded the theme for the Olympics, a song entitled “Moscow” which
reached #1 in Australia.
