British recording artist Leo Sayer was born in 1948. Early in his career, his compositions were recorded by Roger Daltrey (The Who) and Three Dog Night. Sayer launched his solo career in 1974 and was soon charting with regularity, amassing hits that included "Moonlighting", "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" (US #1), "Thunder In My Heart", "More Than I Can Say", "When I Need You" (US #1) and "Orchard Road".
