Australian entertainer John Farnham recorded the heart-wrenching ballad "Please Don't Ask Me" for his 1980 album 'Uncovered'. The moving song was penned by Graham Goble, a principal songwriter in the Australian group Little River Band.
"Please Don't Ask Me" involves a man who finds himself in love with someone he cannot have. This is because he is already in a relationship with another woman, as explained in the line "my heart's not free". He continues wrestling with his feelings for the other woman in the remaining verses.
