Trivia:

The Temptations recorded the original version of "Smiling Faces Sometimes", a song written by Norman Whitfield with Barrett Strong. The former produced the first interpretation of the R&B track as well as the cover recorded by fellow Motown group The Undisputed Truth. The Temptations' version was included on the 'Sky's The Limit' album and runs for over 12 minutes. Plans to edit the track for single release were shelved when Eddie Kendricks, who performed lead vocals on the cut, quit the group. A new shortened version by The Undisputed Truth ended up becoming the hit.
