ME!
Prior to the release of her next album, Taylor Swift unleashed the single “ME!”. The song featured Brendon Urie from the group Panic! At The Disco. The two singers co-wrote the song with its producer Joel Little. While the single was a #1 smash in Europe, it peaked in the Top 3 in the US, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Parent album ‘Lover’ followed in August 2019. Subsequent singles lifted off the disc were: “You Need To Calm Down”, “The Man” and the title track. All three charted (peaking at #2, 10 and 23 respectively on the US chart).
This was the first Swift album issued on her new label Republic Records. The disc reached #1 in America, the UK,., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
At the 2019 American Music Awards, Swift was named Artist of the Decade. The singer continued being prolific around this time, resulting in two albums emerging during 2020.
