BLANK SPACE

The hit song “Shake It Off” proved to be an effective way to set everything in place ahead of the release of Taylor Swift’s fifth studio album ‘1989’. The disc repeated the success of its lead single, topping charts in the U.S.A., Britain, Canada, Australia, various European countries, New Zealand, South Africa and Mexico.

Swift kept the momentum going with the follow-up single “Blank Space”. Like its predecessor, Swift co-wrote the track with Max Martin and Shellback. The latter two also produced the new hit single. It became her third American #1 song. The single also reached #1 in Canada and Australia.

Third single “Style” became another smash for Swift, reaching #6 Pop and #1 Adult Contemporary in America. If it seemed that there was little life left in ‘1989’, the success of the next single proved that there were even more hits to eke out of the album.
