As if re-recording her ‘Fearless’ and ‘Red’ albums wasn’t enough, Taylor Swift dropped a new album on the same day its first single “Anti-Hero” was unleashed. The public’s appetite for her new music had not diminished, as proven by the success of ‘Midnights’ and the single.

Swift wrote and produced the track with Jack Antonoff. It marked another watershed for the singer / songwriter. Just a year prior, Drake dominated the US Top 10 with nine tracks. In 2022, Swift went one better; occupying every rung within Billboard Magazine’s American Top 10. All ten were tracks on new album ‘Midnights’. “Anti-Hero” debuted at #1. This was her ninth chart-topping song.

This chart domination broke a record among female performers: Swift had now amassed 40 Top 10 singles, surpassing Madonna’s 38. Only Drake had accomplished more: 59. “Anti-Hero” also reached the chart summit in Britain, various European countries, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and New Zealand.
