CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#468 I JUST WANT TO BE YOUR EVERYTHING Andy Gibb
The Bee Gees had enjoyed  years of success by the time younger brother Andy Gibb achieved his first worldwide hit. Born in Manchester in 1958, but raised in Australia, Andy's 1st chart entry was "Words and Music" in 1975. It climbed to the bottom rungs of the Australian Top 100. He then left Australia to pursue his musical aspirations.
Older brother Barry Gibb was a hot songwriter, penning hits not only for the Bee Gees but for other artists including Samantha Sang and Yvonne Elliman around the time that Andy was about to launch his career internationally. Barry gave Andy a song he had written entitled "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" to start the momentum.
Andy adopted a falsetto for the chorus, similar to the vocals his older brother had utilised effectively on their disco hits. "...Everything" featured Barry on backup and hints of disco, the genre that was hot and about to explode with the advent of the Gibbs' work on 'Saturday Night Fever'.
Released in 1977,  "...Everything" was produced by Barry with Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson. The single reached #1 in the US, Australia and Canada. This was to be the 1st of 3 US #1s for Andy. On the British Top 40, the disc peaked at #26.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs are added each day (every 12 hours)  with a mid-week bonus every Wednesday.
