THE ROAD TO EL DORADO {2000}
Before the end of the 1990s, Elton released the studio album ‘The Big Picture’ in 1998 and ‘Elton John & Tim Rice’s Aida’ the following year. In 2000, Elton’s next musical project was the soundtrack for the DreamWorks film ‘The Road To El Dorado’. Tim Rice wrote the lyrics and Elton composed the music. Patrick Leonard produced the soundtrack.
82 Someday Out Of The Blue
This – known as the Theme from ‘El Dorado’- was the first single lifted off the movie soundtrack album. Producer Patrick Leonard contributed piano and keyboards on the song. Background vocals were performed by Siedah Garrett and Richard Page.
83 Friends Never Say Goodbye
Elton is on piano for this ballad. Producer Leonard handled keyboards and programming. Davey Johnstone contributed guitars and mandolin.
