100 SONGS THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
1955
💥5 Tutti Frutti
Little Richard
Rock and roll was never intended to be safe. It was the music of rebellion, adopted by youth. To the establishment, Little Richard embodied all the risks involved with this new genre. He was black, wild and flamboyant. In fact, “Tutti Frutti” started out as a song about anal sex. The lyrics were toned down and the song took off. Little Richard went on to influence countless others, including Elton John, Prince, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Mick Jagger and Billy Joel.
