English electronic duo Propellerheads scored a Top 5 hit in Britain with a remake of the Bond theme "On Her Majesty's Secret Service' in 1997. That same year, keyboardist/ bassist / DJ Alex Gifford wrote and produced the single "History Repeating". Lead vocals were performed by Dame Shirley Bassey. She herself recorded 3 title songs for films in the James Bond franchise: 'Goldfinger', 'Diamonds Are Forever' and 'Moonraker".
