🎛
4 QUINCY JONES
⚪️Some producers prove their worth applying their skills across diverse styles of music. What makes Q unique is that he excels in a variety of genres, including jazz, pop, soul, adult contemporary and more. He has worked with the greats: Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Lena Horne, Count Basie and Ray Charles. In terms of pop success, his first #1 production was Lesley Gore’s “It’s My Party” in 1963. He is best remembered as the man at the deck for ‘Off The Wall’, the LP that transformed a young Michael Jackson into the coolest cat on the planet, positioning him for phenomenal sales with ‘Thriller’. Jones helmed that project as well as ‘Bad’. He also produced some of music’s legends on “We Are The World”. Somehow, Jones also found time to produce his own albums such as ‘The Dude’. Other hits he helmed include: “Give Me The Night” (George Benson), “Stomp” (Brothers Johnson), “State Of Independence” (Donna Summer), “You Don’t Own Me” (Gore) and “Baby, Come To Me” (Patti Austin and James Ingram).
