Trivia:

After Glenn Frey scored a #2 smash with "The Heat Is On" from the film 'Beverly Hills Cop', its writers, Keith Forsey and Harold Faltermeyer, wanted the Eagles member to record "Shakedown" for its sequel. Unfortunately, Frey had laryngitis when the song was to be recorded. Bob Seger was approached and agreed to cut it. "Shakedown" went one better on the charts than Frey's hit, reaching the top.
