Trivia:

When "An Englishman In New York" was issued as the third single from Sting's 1987 solo release '...Nothing Like The Sun', it failed to crack the Top 40 in either America nor Britain. A remix by Ben Liebrand was released in 1990 and this version of the jazzy reggae song inspired by famous Englishman Quentin Crisp finally charted in the UK.
