Trivia:

Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire" recounts the previous decades in his life. The song refers to historical events such as The Korean War, President John F. Kennedy's assassination, Watergate, A.I.D.S., Palestine, Beatlemania among others. It also name checks pop culture figures that include Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, James Dean, Bob Dylan, Princess Grace, Marlon Brando and Buddy Holly.

In 2023, American rock group Fall Out Boy updated the song with new lyrics that were a summary of events from when Joel's hit came out in 1989 to the present.
