LIONHEART: KATE BUSH
[1978]
After wowing the world with her debut album, Kate Bush had the unenviable task of delivering a follow-up. That sophomore effort was 'Lionheart', unleashed only a few months after the release of 'The Kick Inside'. So breathtaking was that first LP, we forget that she was only 20 years old when 'Lionheart' was issued. Bush never repeated herself. On her 2nd album there are beautiful moments such as "In The Warm Room", "Kashka From Baghdad" and "Oh England My Lionheart. There is black humour too, on "Coffee Homeground", a precursor for "Babooshka" which would appear on 'Never For Ever' in 1980. Highlight tracks: Symphony In Blue; Wow & Coffee Homeground.
